Custom Design

Silent Atelier create custom conceptual-realist designs made specifically for individual tattoo clients and collectors worldwide. Custom work is available in both color and black & grey and is developed using your personal reference photo, as long as its facial structure allows for a surreal, conceptual transformation. Each design is crafted manually by me—not generated automatically—and follows the studio’s signature visual language: layered identity, silence, fracture, and emotional anatomy. Because of this meticulous process, not every photograph can be adapted. After you submit your material, I will personally review it to confirm whether a custom composition is possible.

HOW IT WORKS & PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

To transform your portrait into a bespoke piece of conceptual art, the quality of the reference photo is crucial. The final artwork relies entirely on the details, lighting, and expression of the photograph you provide.

Please ensure your photo meets the following criteria before submitting your request:

High Resolution & Sharp Focus - the image must be clear and sharp. No blurry, pixelated, or low-light selfies. I need to clearly see the unique details of your features (eyes, skin texture, contours).

Natural, Neutral Lighting - front and slight side-angled natural light (like standing near a window) works best. Avoid harsh camera flashes, heavy filters, dramatic colored lights, or deep shadows that distort your natural features.

Neutral Expression - a calm, neutral, or relaxed facial expression allows the surreal and textural elements of the design to integrate seamlessly with your anatomy.

Clear Angles - a straight-on portrait (front view) or a slight three-quarter (3/4) turn works best for my collections. Make sure your face is not obstructed by hands, hair, or large accessories.

Note: If your photo does not meet these requirements, don't worry. I will review your submission and guide you on how to take the perfect shot for your project.

The Complete 4 - File Tattoo Pack

You will receive the high-resolution digital masterpiece for your tattoo transfer or high-end printing, containing:

The Final Color or Monochrome Concept File (full reference for your artist).

The High-Contrast Value Map

The Production-Ready Stencil (optimized linework ready for the tattoo studio's printer).

Personalized Anatomy Map - a digital mockup showing how the custom design flows on your chosen body area (arm, back, leg, etc.) to assist your tattoo artist during placement.

Pricing

Bespoke Design Fee - €350 – €400 (per project, depending on complexity)

A non-refundable deposit is required once your reference photo is approved and the project is confirmed.
